This is the gateway decision for Udo, not a mandatory attraction. Choose it when the day is meant to include ferry time, island scenery, and a slower lunch rhythm; otherwise stay on Jeju Island and keep the east coast moving.
Stay around Seongsan/east again or move lightly toward the south-east so Day 3 can enter Saryeoni and Seogwipo cleanly.
Udo is a choice, not a requirement. If ferry timing makes the day messy, stay on land and keep Gwangchigi, Seopjikoji, and Seongeup.
If you dislike ferries or summit walks, use Gwangchigi, Seopjikoji, and Seongeup as a land-only east day.
Seongeup/Saryeoni -> Soesokkak -> Seogwipo Market -> Cheonjiyeon
Move from east to south through forest and water stops, then settle in Seogwipo instead of rushing the west side too early.
